Student Tutor
THIS POSITION IS ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT STUDENTS AT THE GEO 21ST CENTURY CHARTER SCHOOL AT GARY.
REPORTS TO/TERM:
Principal and Administrative Team
Part Time-NOT to Exceed 25 Worked Hours Per Week
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS: A Student Tutor is required to perform the following duties:
- Motivate and support students in reaching high levels of academic success
- Maintain high behavioral expectations for all students
- Perform targeted individual assistance and small group tutoring
- Maintain frequent communication with students and their support network regarding academic progress
- Communicate and collaborate with teachers and school administrators
- Participate in staff development opportunities
- Ensure the security of computer equipment and accessories
- Uphold all school policies
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Commitment to the mission and organizational goals of GEO Academies
- Be a current High School Student at 21st Century Charter School @Gary
- Carry a consistent 3.0 Grade Point Average
