    Minimum Requirements

    • Associates degree or higher in Turfgrass Management or a related field.
    • Relevant hands-on industry experience
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are necessary.

    Preferred Requirements

    • Teaching experience

    Primary Functions of Position

    • Develop and teach courses covering turfgrass management, sports field maintenance, and related horticulture topics. Teaching may be online, in the classroom, or in a laboratory setting and can include day, evening, and weekend hours.
    • Maintain, review, and update course outlines to ensure content is relevant and aligns with state and accreditation standards.
    • Supervise students in various learning environments, monitor and evaluate student outcomes, and maintain accurate records of attendance and grades.
    • Model and teach students essential employability skills, including communication, problem-solving, and adaptability.
    • Help maintain and ensure the safety of classroom and laboratory spaces, including equipment and supplies.
    • Stay current with the instructional field and teaching strategies through professional development activities.
