SUBJECT: Part Time Title I Tutors for Private Schools (up to 4 positions)
Qualifications
Appropriate MA DESE teaching license required
Classroom teaching experience
Strong communication skills, with a willingness to communicate with private school classroom teachers, private school leadership and district-based leadership
For elementary intervention positions: MA DESE Elementary license required
For high school ELA support position: Appropriate MA DESE ELA license required
Responsibilities
Elementary Intervention Tutors:
Assess students'' literacy skills using DIBELS 8th Edition three times a year and, if applicable, assess students' math skills three times a year using a mutually agreed upon measure.
Provide explicit instruction to identified groups of Brockton students needing additional academic support
Collaborate with school-based staff/leadership and district leadership
Submit pre- and post-assessment data to the Title I Coordinator
High School ELA Support Tutor:
Provide targeted ELA support to identified Brockton students needing additional academic assistance
Provide instruction based on identified student needs in reading, writing, and other ELA skills
Collaborate with classroom teachers, school leadership, and district leadership
Monitor student progress and provide pre- and post-intervention data to the Title I Coordinator
All Positions:
Work up to 17 hours per week with students and up to 1 hour per week for planning
Submit payroll weekly
Compensation: $45.00 per hour
