Description
Position Overview:
Provide oral hygiene care to patients including preventive, maintenance, and therapeutic treatments.
Educate patients about their oral health and motivate them to maintain it.
This is a part-time position (30 hours/week), working 3 shifts of 10 hours each.
Travel is required to multiple dental offices.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care, including cleanings and other dental hygiene services.
Collect and document oral health data according to clinical policies.
Provide patients with oral hygiene education and care instructions.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment following health and safety standards.
Support office tasks during downtime to promote teamwork and efficiency.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Work Schedule & Locations:
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (3/10s).
Travel to: Aloha, Tigard, Beaverton, Cedar Hills, and Tanasbourne locations.
This is a float/travel position with set workdays and rotating office locations.
Required Qualifications: Education:
Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program.
Associate degree in Applied Science or higher.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid Oregon Dental Hygienist License.
National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Additional Requirements:
WA Initial and Renewable Limited Licenses are not accepted.
Oregon license must include local anesthesia endorsement.
Experience with x-ray equipment, ultrasonic scalers, and handpieces.
Preferred Qualifications:
Nitrous oxide permit.
Knowledge of sterilization and infection control.
Basic computer skills.
Restorative function endorsement (Oregon only; included in WA license).
