About the Role
A Place Called Home LLC is seeking an organized, dependable Recruiting & Onboarding Coordinator to help recruit caregivers and prepare new hires for their assignments as we grow our home care services.
This part-time position reports directly to the Owner/Administrator and focuses on recruiting and onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Post and update caregiver openings on Indeed, CareerPlug, and other recruiting platforms.
- Review applications and conduct initial phone screenings.
- Assess candidate qualifications, availability, and service-area fit.
- Schedule interviews and follow up promptly with applicants.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and build a qualified applicant pipeline.
- Coordinate reference checks and required background screening through approved processes.
- Prepare offer paperwork for the Owner/Administrator’s approval.
- Collect hiring documents and coordinate orientation and required training.
- Track onboarding completion and flag outstanding requirements.
- Confirm readiness with the Owner/Administrator before a new hire begins an assignment.
- Maintain confidential recruiting and onboarding records.
- Provide weekly updates on recruiting progress and staffing needs.
Final hiring decisions remain with the Owner/Administrator.
Qualifications
- Experience in recruiting, onboarding, hiring coordination, or related administrative work.
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple applicants and deadlines independently.
- Comfort using email, spreadsheets, online job boards, and applicant tracking systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Preferred: Experience recruiting caregivers or direct support staff, and familiarity with CareerPlug, Indeed, or Minnesota home care and 245D settings.
