The Office of the Vice President for Regional Campuses (VPRC) oversees Indiana Universitys 5 regional campuses and the Office of School Partnerships, working collaboratively with units across the university to expand access to high-quality education. Through innovative, flexible, and accessible programs, VPRC enhances and extends the traditional in-person student experience to learners across Indiana and beyond. The office is committed to making an IU education affordable and attainable particularly for first-generation and low-income students through both regional campus and online pathways. Together, these efforts support student success while strengthening local communities and economies by preparing graduates for vital roles in education, healthcare, business, government, and industry.

Job Summary

The Project Management Assistant will assist the Senior Director for Regional Student Support Services in the assessment, development, coordination and evaluation of student support programs and policies. Programmatic units include: student life, dean of students offices, student leadership, athletics, student success, retention, new student programs, Groups Scholars, and 21st Century Scholars programs. Student Support programmatic areas: Major Regional Level Events, Student Life (Student Organization and Campus Events), Dean of Students Offices, Regional Campus Student Government Associations, New Student Orientation Programs, Regional Athletics. Student Success and Retention, Groups Scholars and 21st Century Scholars, and Regional Campus Communications.

Department Specific Responsibilities

• Participates fully as a member of the VPRC staff.
• Provides administrative and project support for campus and university initiatives, and communications.
• Develops a schedule to meet necessary deadlines, deliverables, and action items to support successful outcomes.
• Ensures projects adhere to frameworks and all project documents, reports, and records are maintained appropriately.
• Maintains detailed electronic files, inventories, and documentation systems.
• Collaborates with cross functional teams to coordinate meetings, prepare materials, and document key decisions and next steps.
• Supports planning and logistics for events, workshops, and campus activities.
• Assists with correspondence, data collection, and information sharing among stakeholders.
• Performs a variety of administrative skills to support strategic projects and operational needs.

Qualifications

Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.

EDUCATION

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (such ash HSED or GED).

Preferred

• Bachelors degree in Business or related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required

• 1 year of relevant experience.

Preferred

• Experience in project management.

Working Conditions / Demands

This position may require some evenings and weekends that are scheduled in advance.

Advertised Salary

$15.00-$18.00 per hour based on skills and experiences.

Work Hours

10-15 hours per week
