Temporary Part-Time Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to provide temporary, part-time payroll support for a company in Hawaiian Gardens, CA. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on payroll experience who is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working a schedule that may vary from week to week based on payroll and business needs.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with processing payroll accurately and on time
Review timesheets and employee payroll data for accuracy
Enter and verify payroll-related changes and adjustments
Research and resolve payroll discrepancies
Process corrections as needed
Reconcile payroll records and prepare supporting reports
Maintain accurate payroll documentation
Assist with payroll-related inquiries
Coordinate with accounting and internal teams regarding payroll matters
Maintain confidentiality of payroll information
Provide additional payroll support as needed
Qualifications
Previous hands-on payroll processing experience
Strong understanding of payroll processes, timekeeping, and payroll reconciliations
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience using payroll or HRIS systems preferred
Ability to meet payroll deadlines and manage competing priorities
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Must be comfortable with a part-time schedule that can vary from week to week
