Part-time Patient Registrar

Pride Health is hiring a Patient Registrar to support our client's healthcare facility in Wyoming, MI.
 
Job Details: 
Schedule:  Part-Time, Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–8:00 PM
Location:   Wyoming, MI - 49519
Float / Coverage Area: 
Job Type: Local contract
Contract Length: 3-month contract (Possible extension)
Pay Range: $22.00 to $24.00/hour*
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.  
 
Duties: 

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and coverage.
• Complete daily registration tasks and Epic work queues.
• Schedule walk-in testing when needed.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
• Reconcile daily cash and balance the cash drawer.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth patient registration.
• Provide bedside registration when required.
• Participate in on-call and holiday schedules.

Requirements: 

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• License(s): NA
• Certification(s): NA
• Years of experience: 

• 1–2 years of experience in healthcare.
• Previous experience in hospital registration, medical billing, or administrative roles preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding knowledge preferred.

Skills/Specialties/Technology:

• Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
