Office Assistant | $15-$16/hour
Monday-Friday 4-5 hours daily
A Sioux City area distribution company is seeking an organized, energetic Part-Time Office Assistant to join their team and keep our daily operations running like a well-oiled machine.
Responsibilities:
Order & Inventory Support: Assist with entering incoming orders, verifying shipping manifests, and updating inventory data in our system.
Administrative Duties: Answer incoming phone calls, route messages to the correct departments, and greet occasional visitors.
Documentation & Filing: Organize and maintain physical and digital records, including invoices, bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
Mail & Deliveries: Sort and distribute daily mail, packages, and courier deliveries.
Office Upkeep: Monitor and restock office and breakroom supplies to ensure the team has what they need.
Requirements:
Experience: 1–2 years of experience in an office administrative role (experience in logistics, warehousing, or distribution is a huge plus!).
Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry. Familiarity with ERP or inventory software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a bonus.
Organization: Sharp attention to detail and the ability to multitask without breaking a sweat.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills—you’ll be interacting with drivers, clients, and internal teams.
Reliability: Dependable transportation and a strong track record of punctuality.
