Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled part-time maintenance engineer to help keep our facility operating safely, efficiently, and at a high standard. In this role, you will support routine maintenance, respond to repair needs, and assist with preventative upkeep across building systems and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of facilities, systems, and equipment to identify maintenance needs
- Carry out basic repairs and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building components
- Support preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules and procedures
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Monitor equipment performance and report concerns or recurring problems
- Assist with minor installations, replacements, and adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Work collaboratively with other team members, contractors, and site personnel
- Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any follow-up required
- Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and applicable regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or building operations preferred
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general repair work
- Ability to diagnose issues and complete practical repairs efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and standard maintenance equipment
- Understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve standing, lifting, bending, and climbing
