Job Summary
The Part-Time Library Clerk performs a variety of general library and clerical tasks related to such activities as circulation and assisting patrons. Representative tasks include checking out items to patrons, processing returned items, shelving, and managing patron accounts. The position is under direct supervision of the Circulation Manager and Youth Services Supervisor. The principal duties of the position are performed in a general office environment.
This position may work in the Childrens library or the main library depending on the applicants skillset, area of interest and/or the needs of the library.
Hours Worked
This position averages 20 hours per week, which may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekend hours. The typical schedule includes three fixed weekday shifts and rotating shifts every fourth weekend. Successful candidates may be required to adapt to future schedule changes depending on Library needs.
