    Description

    Talis Group's law firm client is a Louisville law firm specializing in personal injury litigation. They are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time  Assistant to provide administrative support in a fast-paced law office. The ideal candidate will have strong document management skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and professional communication skills.  Hours are 9am-4pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Free parking.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Proofread, and organize legal documents, correspondence.
    • Maintain electronic and physical files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and accessibility.
    • Manage document filing systems and ensure compliance with firm policies and record retention requirements.
    • Process and track medical, employment, insurance, and other records requests from third parties.
    • Follow up on outstanding records requests and maintain accurate status logs.
    • Scan, upload, index, and organize documents within the firm's case management system.
    • Calendar deadlines, appointments, and important case dates.
    • Answer phones, communicate professionally with clients, courts, and outside agencies, and provide administrative support as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Previous legal secretary, legal assistant, OR  administrative assistant experience preferred.
    • Strong document management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
    • High level of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to client confidentiality.
