Position Summary

The College is seeking part-time lecturers who are passionate about inspiring and teaching the next generation of Business & Professional Students. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Dean or designee, the Adjunct shall:

• Teach their assigned course(s) in accordance with approved course descriptions and class schedules
• Perform other related responsibilities
• Be available at reasonable times to confer with students outside of class
• Maintain accurate student records
• Each semester shall be for a maximum of sixteen (16) weeks and shall include eighty (80) scheduled days of instruction and evaluation
• Incumbents can teach a total of up to 8 credits per semester within the CSCC system

Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards
• Evaluating and assessing student learning outcomes
• Providing student support, mentoring, and academic advising
• Developing curriculum and periodically reviewing and updating instructional materials

Minimum Qualifications

• Masters degree or higher in the subject matter or closely related field
• Successful Candidate must have or must possess:
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
• Additional qualifications may be requested, as relevant to the academic department

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) or more years' teaching-related college-level courses (24+ credits)
• Experience using technology to enhance the learning environment, e.g., Blackboard, online instruction or other modalities/software

Salary

• $2,112 per contact/credit hour ($6,336 for a 3-credit course)
