Job Summary

This position will work as a member of the IU Health Center IT Services team providing technical user support for all user-facing IT service requests.

Department-Specific Responsibilities

• Provide technical service and support of Windows 11 based client systems, custom, and third-party applications to include printers within the IU Health Centers (215) user, multi-location (IU Bloomington campus) environment.
• Receive training to support third party software including electronic health records, laboratory, pharmacy, X-ray imaging, and X-ray PACS system software.
• Respond to, resolve, or escalate phone and ticket-based IT service requests.
• Participate in all aspects of direct end-user support operations
• Receive training from IT Services Manager and Senior Technician.
• Receive, troubleshoot, and resolve/escalate all IT Support requests in the Service Now ticketing system
• Proofread, update, maintain all end-user support procedures in the IT Confluence system
• Maintain IT Inventory
• Participate in perpetual hardware lifecycle replacement program
• Keep the server room and IT office organized and hardware labeled
• Replace and replenish printer toner and respond to general printer maintenance work
• Assist with IU Surplus IT hardware disposal process
• Reimage and deploy all Health Center end user computing equipment using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

Preferred

• Associates degree in an accredited computer information systems program or computer certification

WORK EXPERIENCE

Preferred

• Prior technical helpdesk experience

Working Conditions / Demands

The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this position must be able to move up to 35 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

$16.00 - 18.50 per hour, based on education and qualifications
