Position Description
The Part-Time, Human Resources Administrator, is a Part-Time, non-civil service position and administers all phases of the HR function in a large department. Performs related duties as required.
The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) is a 24/7/365 operation. Whether you are a sworn or civilian employee, you will be responsible for the general welfare of the citizens of Nashville and Davidson County. You will be responsible for ensuring optimum communications both within Metro and between Metro and the general public. This position is paid by the hour and is a Part-Time position.
Shifts and hours will vary, not to exceed 19.5 hours per week. The current hourly rate is $49.91 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of professional HR experience.
Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.
Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous supervisory experience
Experience with budgeting, bookkeeping, record keeping, and purchasing methods and procedures
Knowledge of Civil Service and departmental rules, policies, and procedures
Knowledge of MNPD policy and procedures and directives
