The School District of Kewaunee has an immediate opening for a Part Time Food Service Worker. The ideal candidate must enjoy working with a team, be compliant regarding food production policies, state sanitation, food quality and personal hygiene. Additionally, they must be committed to providing nutritious and quality food for the benefit of the students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting ingredients.
- Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment to operate for preparation of menu items.
- Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
- Cleans work areas, assists with dishwashing of equipment, serving trays, pans and utensils.
- Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
- Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
- Work with others in a positive environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills Abilities:
- Previous food service experience required, as well as the ability to perform all essentials duties and responsibilities associated with this position.
