General Function

Provides assistance and services to students and employees to help meet individual physical fitness goals

Duties and Responsibilities

• Informs students, faculty and staff regarding operating schedules and policies for the fitness centers; answers questions and assists with resolving problems; monitors and enforces rules and policies as necessary.
• Assists fitness center participants with safety by demonstrating the proper exercise techniques and equipment operation.
• Performs daily and weekly cleaning routines to ensure the fitness center and equipment are clean and disinfected.
• Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Provides orientation on fitness center's procedures and policies to new participants.
• Maintains accurate records for utilization, attendance and other types of reports.
• Promotes the utilization of the fitness centers to the college community.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Exercise Science, Physical Education and/or related field.
