Summary of Position

Teaches assigned courses in classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical settings while preparing and delivering instructional materials aligned with course and program outcomes. Evaluates student learning through assignments, examinations, competencies, and clinical assessments and maintains accurate records related to attendance, grades, competencies, and clinical performance. Provides timely feedback, academic support, and professional mentoring to students while fostering a safe, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment. Ensures compliance with radiation safety standards, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), clinical site policies, and institutional procedures. Duties also include staying current with radiologic technology practices and imaging procedures, as well as working closely with faculty and clinical affiliates to enhance student learning and support clinical education experiences.

Position Information

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Qualifications and Competencies

Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: Active certification and registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Basic Life Support (CPR/BLS) certification.

Sponsorship and/or Work Authorization Status: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Minimum Qualifications: An earned bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or an equivalent related field from an accredited institution; minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in diagnostic radiography or related imaging field; active certification and registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography; current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Basic Life Support (CPR/BLS) certification; must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications: An earned master's degree in radiologic sciences, or an equivalent related field. Prior teaching or clinical instruction experience in higher education or hospital-based education programs. Advanced imaging certifications such as computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), Mammography, or Interventional Radiography preferred. Knowledge of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accreditation standards and outcomes assessment processes.

Physical Requirements: In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform light work.

Light: work involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects, requiring: (1) walking or standing to a significant degree; (2) sitting most of the time while pushing or pulling arm or leg controls; or (3) working at a production rate pace while constantly pushing or pulling materials even though the weight or the materials is negligible. (The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.)
