The Whitman School of Management seeks Part-Time Faculty for BUA 474, Project-Based Learning in Business
Course Description: Experiential learning opportunity that will apply knowledge and skills acquired in the classroom to external business projects, working directly with an external client. Students must apply and be accepted before registering.
Course culminates in a 7-day trip with enrolled students to Prague.
Qualifications
Job Specific Qualifications
- Experience in teaching at the university-level is preferred.
- Strong communication skills required.
- Have an understanding and appreciation for project-based learning.
- Must be available and willing to teach on campus.
- Must be available during spring break travel and ability to travel abroad.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of lectures, projects, and other student assignments, in collaboration with Experiential Center and external consulting partner
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours
- Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance level of the course
- Meeting all designated class periods
- Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to university regulations and school/college-level policies
- Providing departmentally sanctioned form for completing student evaluations
- Grading student assignments and exams in timely manner
- Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty members
- Other responsibilities as indicated including associated travel.
