Part Time District Field Service Technician -

Rent.Fun is looking for a reliable and hands-on District Field Service Technician to keep our outdoor rental stations running smoothly across Lake Wales, Florida. This role is ideal for a self-motivated problem solver who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining high-quality equipment for guests to enjoy.

As the sole technician for your district, you will own the full maintenance cycle across three assigned locations — conducting scheduled inspections, resolving reported issues, and keeping detailed service logs. No two days are exactly alike, but your consistency and attention to detail will ensure every visitor has a great experience.

Key Responsibilities

Scheduled Maintenance (Every 30-45 Days)

• Complete a full inspection loop across all three assigned locations
• Inspect, test, and service bikes, kayaks, paddles, life jackets, lawn games, and lockers
• Identify wear, damage, or safety concerns and address them proactively
• Ensure all rental equipment meets Rent.Fun safety and quality standards

• Issue Resolution & Repairs

• Respond to reported equipment breakdowns and malfunctions promptly
• Diagnose and perform necessary repairs on-site during each maintenance loop
• Escalate complex or supply-dependent issues with clear documentation

• Reporting & Communication

• Submit post-visit station reports and maintenance logs after each site visit
• Record all work performed, parts used, and outstanding items
• Communicate clearly with the Rent.Fun operations team on issues and status updates

• Requirements

  Experience in mechanical, technical, or equipment maintenance (preferred but not required)

  Comfortable working outdoors in variable Florida weather conditions

  Ability to travel independently between all assigned district locations

  Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through

  Must adhere to Rent.Fun's maintenance protocols and reporting standards

  Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

  Smartphone or device capable of submitting digital reports

  Compensation & Schedule

  Pay Rate:  2 Stations in Lake Wales$50 per station and $50 bonus if all assets are active at the end of the month

  Schedule: Flexible — self-directed within a scheduled maintenance (Every 30-45 Days)

  Employment Type: Part-Time | Contract | Temporary

  Work Location: On the road — 100% travel within assigned district required
