Part-Time Daycare Closer
Kids Crossing Daycare is looking for a dependable and caring Part-Time Closer to join our team!
This position will work in and help close our Part-Time Daycare , caring for young children and helping make sure the classroom is ready for the next day.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent afternoon hours, with the potential to move into a full-time position in the future!
Hours & Job Information
- Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM
- Approximately 20 hours per week
- Consistent weekday schedule
- No nights or weekends!
- Potential to transition into a full-time position
- Additional benefits may be available based on hours worked
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, nurturing, and high-quality care to children
- Supervise and actively engage with children during afternoon activities and play
- Assist with snacks, toileting/diapering, and other daily care needs
- Greet and communicate with parents during afternoon pick-up
- Maintain a warm, welcoming environment for children and families
- Complete end-of-day classroom cleaning and closing tasks
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and prepared for the following day
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff
- Follow all Kids Crossing policies and state childcare licensing requirements
What We're Looking For
- Reliable and able to consistently work 2:00–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- Caring, patient, and respectful toward children, families, and coworkers
- Able to work independently and complete closing responsibilities
- Responsible, mature, and dependable
- Comfortable communicating with parents at pick-up
- Excited to work with young children and be part of a team
Applicant Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous childcare experience preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Able to pass required child abuse/neglect screening and background checks
- Must meet state requirements for employment in a licensed childcare program
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete required certification
