    Data Analyst – Opportunity in Boston, MA

    Sigma Inc. is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst for an exciting contract opportunity with our client in Boston, MA. This role will support the Annual Giving team by driving data-informed fundraising and marketing initiatives through data management, reporting, audience segmentation, and campaign analytics.

    This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong Excel skills, data analysis experience, and an interest in fundraising, marketing analytics, donor engagement, or customer segmentation.

    Key Responsibilities

    Data Management & Quality Assurance

    • Maintain, organize, and update the appeal-tracking system.
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple platforms and databases.
    • Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality control activities.

    Reporting & Database Analysis

    • Build, refine, and optimize database queries to support reporting and business intelligence initiatives.
    • Analyze data trends and generate actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
    • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership and stakeholders.

    Audience Segmentation & Campaign Support

    • Develop and execute audience segmentation strategies for donor acquisition, retention, renewal, and upgrade campaigns.
    • Support targeted marketing initiatives through data-driven audience selection and analysis.
    • Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimization opportunities.

    Cross-Channel Marketing Data Coordination

    • Coordinate constituent data across direct mail, email marketing, telefundraising, and social media channels.
    • Ensure accurate deployment and synchronization of campaign data across platforms.
    • Collaborate with marketing and fundraising teams to support integrated outreach efforts.

    Required Qualifications

    • Strong experience in Data Analysis, Reporting, or Database Management.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
      • Pivot Tables
      • Complex Formulas
      • Data Analysis Functions
      • Data Validation and Reporting
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
    • Knowledge of Power BI
    • Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries
    • Experience using Python for data analysis and reporting
    • Experience supporting marketing, fundraising, CRM, or customer analytics initiatives
