The Meadows Assisted Living of Brewton is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Cook / Resident Care Aide. This is a flexible position for someone who is willing and able to assist with both food service and resident care duties as needed.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be dependable, flexible, and willing to assist in multiple areas of the facility
- Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
- Must speak and understand English
- Previous cooking, food service, caregiving, or assisted living experience is preferred
- Positive attitude toward the elderly
- Reliable transportation required
- Must be willing and able to perform both resident care and dietary/cooking responsibilities as assigned
Essential Job Functions
Resident Care Duties
- Provide non-professional direct resident care under the supervision of nursing personnel
- Assist residents with activities of daily living
- Assist residents to and from meals and activities
- Provide assistance during dining service
- Observe residents and communicate changes or concerns to appropriate nursing staff
- Promote resident comfort, safety, dignity, and independence
Cook / Dietary Duties
- Prepare food in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards
- Prepare and serve meals according to planned menus
- Follow facility policies and procedures regarding food preparation and service
- Ensure food is properly prepared, handled, and stored
- Properly store leftovers and maintain a clean and sanitary food service environment
- Assist with other dietary duties as needed
