Overview:
As the Womens Soccer coach you will be responsible for providing mentorship, support, and expertise to enhance performance, foster skill development, and promote a positive and collaborative environment. The ideal coach possesses strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for helping others succeed. Coach will be expected to create a culture of compliance in all facets of NJCAA Bylaws and Polices. Welfare and safety of student-athletes is a priority.
Position requires coaches to be available to coach evenings and weekends and include travel to various competitions.

- Communication and Recruitment:
- Promote the team and work to recruit and maintain team members.
- Effectively communicate with players, team members, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Provide clear instructions and feedback in a constructive manner.
- Keep stakeholders informed about team progress, upcoming events, and other relevant information.
- Player Welfare:
- Monitor the physical and mental well-being of players or team members.
- Address any concerns related to health, safety, or personal issues in a supportive manner.
- Collaborate with relevant medical professionals to ensure the overall well-being of individuals.
- Game Day Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute effective game-day strategies.
- Provide real-time guidance and adjustments during competitions.
- Remain composed under pressure and make quick decisions to adapt to changing situations.
- Safely transport team and necessary equipment to and from events and competitions in Blackhawk Technical College vehicles as needed.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, evaluate, motivate, and develop student-athletes.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with student-athletes, coaches, families, high school and club coaches, and community partners.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and foster an inclusive team environment.
- Strong focus and ability to instill the fundamentals of the game.
- Demonstrated commitment to developing student-athletes academically, athletically, and personally, with an emphasis on leadership, accountability, teamwork, community engagement, and student success.
- Excellent Communication Skills, including motivating and encouraging players.
Education & Experience:
- Associate Degree in Education or related field or comparable work experience.
- Two years of experience with soccer coaching experience at the high school, club, collegiate, or comparable competitive level.
