Join Oak Harbor Freight Lines, a family-owned transportation company with over 110 years of service throughout the Western United States. Were looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Check-In/Check-Out Clerk to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong computer and communication skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced transportation environment.
Responsibilities:
Collect required bills of lading and delivery receipts from drivers.
Scan and enter shipment information from bills and delivery receipts into the companys database.
Identify and report overages, shortages, and damaged freight notations to the Operations Department.
Work closely with drivers, dispatch, and operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of paperwork.
Research shipment information to answer questions and help resolve issues as they arise.
Perform general office duties and other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
No previous experience required.
High School Diploma or GED/equivalent required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Ability to handle challenging customer situations and resolve issues professionally.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
AS400 experience preferred but not required.
