Christensen Recycling is looking for a dependable, hardworking Part-Time Catalytic Converter Cutter / Shear Operator to join our warehouse team.
This position will primarily be responsible for safely cutting and processing catalytic converters using our hydraulic catalytic converter shear/cutting equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate hydraulic catalytic converter cutting/shearing equipment
- Cut and process catalytic converters efficiently and safely
- Load and position converters into the cutting equipment
- Separate converter shells and internal material as required
- Keep the cutting and processing area clean and organized
- Follow all company safety procedures
- Perform basic daily equipment inspections
- Report equipment problems or safety concerns to management
- Assist with other warehouse duties when needed
Qualifications
- Must be dependable and show up on time
- Comfortable working around industrial machinery
- Mechanically inclined preferred
- Able to perform repetitive physical work
- Able to lift and handle catalytic converters throughout the shift
- Must follow instructions and established safety procedures
- Previous experience operating a shear, hydraulic equipment, scrap-processing equipment, or industrial machinery is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person

Part-Time
Schedule and weekly hours can be discussed based on availability and company needs.
Compensation
$25.00 per hour
