Looking for part-time caregiving work with daytime schedules? Home Helpers Home Care of San Mateo County is hiring dependable and compassionate Caregivers, Home Care Aides (HCA), CNAs, and HHAs to provide in-home care and companionship to seniors and adults.
We have opportunities throughout San Mateo County, including Coastside communities. Whether you live locally or are willing to commute to client assignments, we'd love to hear from you!
Available Shifts
We're currently looking for caregivers available for one or more of these schedules:
- 8 AM–12 PM | Mon/Wed/Fri or Tue/Thu/Sat
- 9 AM–1 PM | Mon/Wed/Fri or Tue/Thu/Sat
- 1 PM–5 PM | Mon/Wed/Fri or Tue/Thu/Sat
- 1:30 PM–5:30 PM | Mon/Wed/Fri or Tue/Thu/Sat
Most shifts are Monday through Friday, with some Saturday assignments.
Please note: These are part-time, client-based positions. Actual workdays and weekly hours depend on client needs and caregiver availability. Full-time hours are not guaranteed. More open availability may provide additional scheduling opportunities.
Pay & Benefits
- $22–$25/hour, depending on client assignment
- Paid every other Friday
- Daily Pay available through Tapcheck
- Paid initial and ongoing training
- Paid sick leave
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits for eligible employees working 30+ hours/week
- $150 sign-on bonus after completing 30 shifts
- $300 caregiver referral bonus
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
- Help with walking, mobility, and safe transfers.
- Prepare meals and provide medication reminders.
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Support clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, and other care needs.
- Help with appointments and errands when required.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Previous caregiving experience preferred, including family caregiving.
- California HCA registration required or willingness to obtain it.
- Reliable transportation; driving requirements vary by assignment.
- Able to communicate effectively in English.
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient.
Service Area
We serve clients throughout San Mateo County, including:
San Mateo, Burlingame, Hillsborough, Millbrae, Pacifica, Half Moon Bay, Moss Beach, El Granada, Montara, Redwood City, San Carlos, Belmont, and surrounding communities.
We welcome applicants who live in these communities or are comfortable commuting to available assignments, including Coastside locations.
