Our client is looking for a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join their team in Rye, NY. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking for a consistent, flexible part-time schedule with a mission-driven organization.

Position Details:

What You’ll Do:

• 
  
• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities
• 
  
• Process and code accounts payable invoices
• 
  
• Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections
• 
  
• Record and code daily cash activity
• 
  
• Prepare bank deposits
• 
  
• Reconcile monthly credit card statements
• 
  
• Prepare monthly program billing and departmental reports
• 
  
• Maintain accurate vendor and accounting records
• 
  
• Assist with monthly and annual reporting
• 
  
• Support annual audit preparation
• 
  
• Prepare annual 1099 forms
• 
  
• Ensure transactions are properly coded and recorded in the accounting system
• 
  
• Follow established accounting policies and internal controls
• 
  
• Assist with improving accounting processes and efficiencies
• 
  
• Provide additional accounting support as needed
• 
  

What We’re Looking For:

• 
  
• 3–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• 
  
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
• 
  
• Experience with Excel and accounting software
• 
  
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• 
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• 
  
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 
  
• Nonprofit or multi-location accounting experience is a plus
•
