Compassionate Care ABA, LLC is hiring a part-time BCBA/LBA to provide person-centered Behavioral Support Services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through Maryland DDA.
This opening is focused on Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. Candidates may build a local caseload in this service area and are not expected to cover other counties unless mutually agreed.
About the role
This is adult-focused, community-based work in homes, day programs, workplaces, residential settings, and other community settings—not a high-volume pediatric clinic role. Eligible assessment, plan-writing, data-analysis, documentation, and other indirect work may be completed remotely; direct consultation, observation, caregiver/staff training, and implementation support occur within the assigned local service area.
Schedule and employment
• Part-time, flexible caseload
• Daytime availability is especially helpful because many adult clients and teams are available during business hours
• W-2 or contract arrangement may be considered based on qualifications and mutual fit
• Competitive compensation based on experience, licensure, and employment arrangement
Responsibilities
• Conduct functional and contextual behavioral assessments
• Develop, implement, monitor, and revise person-centered Behavior Support Plans
• Analyze behavioral data and translate findings into practical recommendations
• Train and coach direct support professionals, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams
• Complete accurate, timely Maryland DDA documentation
• Support quality assurance, implementation fidelity, and ethical practice
Required qualifications
• Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing
• Master’s degree in behavior analysis or a closely related field
• Active Maryland behavior analyst license, or eligibility to obtain it before independent practice
• Strong assessment, plan-writing, training, communication, and documentation skills
• Reliable transportation within Annapolis and Anne Arundel County
Adult IDD/DDA experience is preferred. Strong pediatric ABA clinicians interested in transitioning their skills to adult services are encouraged to apply if they meet the required qualifications.
