Reports To: Bar Supervisor

Compensation Type: Hourly + Tips

The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences by preparing and serving beverages in a fast, friendly, and professional manner. This role ensures the bar area is clean, well-stocked, and compliant with all alcohol service laws while providing high-quality service that encourages repeat visits and maximizes sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in line with recipes and standards.
  • Engage with guests, answer menu questions, and make recommendations.
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area throughout shifts.
  • Restock beverages, garnishes, glassware, and bar supplies as needed.
  • Support bar promotions and special events to drive sales.
  • Process payments quickly and accurately using the POS system.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with state laws and company policies.
  • Check IDs to verify legal drinking age when necessary.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Work closely with the Bar Supervisor and other bartenders to maintain smooth operations.
  • Communicate low stock levels, maintenance needs, or guest feedback to leadership.




Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic bartending techniques and beverage recipes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Comfortable handling money and operating a POS system.
  • Team-oriented with a professional, positive attitude.

Experience:

  • Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Must meet the minimum age requirement for alcohol service (21+).
  • Valid alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) preferred or willingness to obtain.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, high-noise environment.
  • May require evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
