About the Opportunity
Are you a Massachusetts EEC-qualified early childhood educator looking for a consistent afternoon schedule?
The Learning Experience - Foxboro is hiring two Part-Time Afternoon Teachers to support our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced childcare teacher who enjoys working with different age groups, supporting fellow educators, and helping children end their school day feeling happy, safe, and cared for.
You'll play an important role in maintaining classroom routines, supporting our teaching teams, and creating a welcoming experience for families during afternoon pickup.
What You'll Do
Support Our Classrooms
- Provide afternoon teaching support across Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms
- Assist Lead Teachers with daily routines, activities, and classroom transitions
- Engage children through stories, music, movement, sensory play, and age-appropriate learning experiences
- Support snacks, outdoor play, and afternoon activities
- Assist with diapering, toileting, and daily care routines as appropriate
Maintain a Safe and Positive Environment
- Maintain active supervision and appropriate classroom ratios
- Follow Massachusetts EEC licensing, health, and safety requirements
- Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom practices
- Help maintain clean, organized, and welcoming classrooms
- Assist with end-of-day classroom preparation
Support Families and Team Members
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
- Communicate professionally with families during afternoon pickup
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and center leadership
- Provide dependable classroom coverage and support wherever needed
Qualifications
- Must meet Massachusetts EEC Infant/Toddler Teacher qualification requirements
- Must also meet Massachusetts EEC Preschool Teacher qualification requirements
- Previous professional experience in a licensed childcare, daycare, or preschool setting preferred
- Comfortable working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children
- Strong understanding of child development, classroom supervision, and positive behavior guidance
- Dependable, flexible, patient, and team-oriented
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Must meet applicable background screening and regulatory requirements
