Part-Time After School Teacher

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM–6:00 PM


About the Role


Brazos Learning Montessori School in Richwood, Texas is seeking a dependable, energetic, and caring After School Teacher to join our team.


This position supports children across our Infant, Toddler, and Early Childhood programs (6 weeks–6 years) during the afternoon and after-school hours. Candidates must be comfortable working with different age groups and helping maintain a safe, calm, and engaging environment.


Responsibilities


  • Actively supervise and engage with children during classroom activities, outdoor play, snack, and transitions.
  • Provide nurturing and developmentally appropriate care for children ages 6 weeks–6 years.
  • Assist with diapering, toileting, feeding, snack, and other caregiving needs as appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
  • Support Lead Guides and classroom staff as needed.
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, families, coworkers, and administration.
  • Follow all school policies and Texas childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
  • Remain actively engaged with children and follow school policies regarding personal cell phone use.
Requirements


  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • College coursework, a degree, or other higher education is preferred, particularly in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Previous professional experience working with children in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early childhood education setting is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must meet Texas childcare licensing background check requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, patient, and comfortable working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children.
  • Must be available to consistently work Monday–Friday from 2:00 PM–6:00 PM.
  • Must be willing to complete all required childcare training and professional development.
