THE POSITION

As a Parole Agent 1 with the Department of Corrections, you will play a key part in helping incarcerated individuals prepare for their next steps. This position gives you the chance to guide others while supporting a structured and dependable release process. Your work will help maintain safety, order, and clear communication. NOTE: Senate Bill 411 merged the Department of Corrections and the Board of Probation and Parole. This position is within the Department of Corrections.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports the release and supervision process by completing clerical tasks and assisting staff at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Dallas. This role helps ensure that inmates are released according to laws and policies while maintaining accurate records and communication. As a Parole Agent 1, you will perform the following duties:
Successful completion of the 12-month training/probationary period will result in a promotion to Parole Agent 2 with an increase in salary!
