    Seasonal Job Opening Park Maintenance Staff Multiple Positions Available | Immediate Start

    Hours: 16-40 hours/week (2-5 days/week) through December 23, 2026. Schedules are flexible within Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm, and will be based on employee availability and department needs.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

    The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative to achieve safe, clean, and well-maintained parks and facilities. Previous landscaping and/or maintenance experience is preferred. Candidates must be 18 or older with a valid IL Driver's License, reliable transportation to and from work. Familiarity with the Glen Ellyn area is a plus! General knowledge and use of hand and power tools as well as gasoline and electric powered equipment is preferred. Must be in good physical condition to perform manual labor in various weather conditions including high heat/humidity and cold. Strong sense of safety with effective communication skills and a desire to provide quality customer service are essential. Ability to work well independently and as a member on a crew. Candidates will need to pass background check following an offer of employment.
