The Coordinator, Parking Services, oversees and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Parking Services office under the direction of the Service Manager. This position combines supervisory, customer service, office management, financial, and parking process and policy enforcement responsibilities to ensure efficient operations in compliance with established University policies and procedures. The coordinator also helps customers understand parking requirements, addresses questions and concerns, and provides effective conflict resolution while maintaining a professional and service-focused environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of campus parking program. Duties include: vehicle registration, permit sales, fee collection, payroll deductions, refunds, database management, space availability, policy enforcement, parking utilization and needs related to special events, construction, and other disruptions. Communicate campus parking policies/processes/regulations; maintain working relationships with campus partners, and provide customer service to the campus community and customers.
Responsible for the supervision of student employees and staff, which includes but is not limited to hiring, training, terming, ending students' assignments, disciplinary actions, performance management, staff development, etc.
Manage efficient and cost-effective department operations. Assist with office budget (supply ordering, and department expense tracking) and financial projections. Create expenditure reconciliation reports and financial statements. Submit revenue collection forms and deposits.
Coordinate maintenance of parking facilities and equipment. Collaborate with Facilities Planning and Management and Information Technology Services staff on equipment and software issues and permit sales. Work with the Projects and Planning Team on campus signage and proper lot and street markings.
Provide backup support to Union Station and cross-train Union Station student employees.
Collaborate regularly with the Service Manager to establish department goals, objectives, job schedules, and timelines.
