Position Summary
GENERAL SUMMARY: Patrol assigned area, such as public parking lot or city streets to issue tickets for parking violations; enforce the Citys parking regulations; answer inquiries from the general public; and perform other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to follow a management philosophy that is input oriented and values equity, problem solving and the development of partnerships; to work effectively as a member of a team; and desires to be part of an organization that values service, people, integrity, responsibility, innovation and teamwork.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: Work involves responsibility for patrolling an assigned area to enforce parking regulations either on foot or in a vehicle. Assignments are received from a supervisor through oral and written instructions; and work is reviewed through reports, conferences and results achieved.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT: Employee shall establish their principal place of residence within fifty (50) miles of the corporate limits of the city of Dubuque as soon as practicable after appointment, but within two years of appointment.
