    Position: Parking & Campus Safety Associate

    Department: Campus Safety

    Status: Part-Time

    Shift Hours: Monday 7:00 am- 5:00 pm and Tuesday/Thursday 7:00 am- 4:00 pm

    Assignments and hours may vary and are dependent on the needs and hours of operation of Campbell University. Occasionally these hours may include holidays.

    Position Summary:

    The Part-Time Parking & Campus Safety Associate supports the daily operations of the Campus Safety Department, with primary responsibilities related to parking enforcement and general campus safety. This position helps maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming campus environment while providing assistance to students, employees, and visitors.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Patrol campus parking lots by vehicle and on foot.
    • Enforce University parking rules and regulations and issue parking citations.
    • Identify vehicles that may require booting or towing.
    • Learn and utilize T2/Flex Parking Software and mobile ticketing equipment.
    • Assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors with parking questions, permits, decals, and directions.
    • Assist with parking and traffic operations for University and special events.
    • Provide safety or mobility transports, unlocks, and other non-law-enforcement Campus Safety services as needed.
    • Work cooperatively with Law Enforcement, Security Officers, Communications personnel, and other Campus Safety staff.
    • Maintain assigned equipment, including radios, ticketing equipment, and mobile devices.
    • Complete required documentation and maintain confidential information.
    • Perform other related Campus Safety duties as assigned.

    Education/Experience:

    • High school diploma or GED and two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Two years of experience in customer service, parking operations, security, public safety, or a related field is preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

    • Must be able to work independently, exercise good judgment, maintain confidentiality, and remain calm and professional in difficult situations.

    • Must be able to learn T2/Flex Parking Software and other departmental technology.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

    • Duties may require lifting, bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling.

    Requirements:

    • A valid driver's license with a favorable driving record.

    • Successful completion of a criminal background check.

    • F-1 and F-2 physical forms.
