    POSITION TITLE: Parent Involvement Coordinator TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 months DATE: 9/4/2026 DATE OF PREVIOUS REVISION: 12/19/2022 FLSA EXEMPTION STATUS: Non-Exempt PAY GRADE: 12

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    1. Collaborate with school personnel to develop and execute opportunities for parents and families to participate and engage in all aspects of the school environment
    2. Assist with organizing family events, workshops, meetings, and other engagement opportunities.
    3. Works collaboratively with the department to support parent engagement initiatives in alignment with Federal guidelines.
    4. Maintains working knowledge of Title I Parent and Family involvement requirements
    5. Assist families in accessing school, district, and community resources and services
    6. Follow district, school, state, and federal guidelines, procedures, and established timelines.
    7. Complete assigned tasks accurately and within established deadlines. Maintains records and documentation related to assigned responsibilities.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES General Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Accurately maintain records as required by state or federal laws, and Union County Board of Education policies, and/or school-based requests, and adhere to confidentiality requirements of state and federal law.     2. Provides building administration with handouts for parents and families obtained through ongoing research, i.e. articles.

    3. Perform administrative functions to support ongoing initiatives

    4. Participates in events and activities to support building a school culture for parents and families

    5. Obtains feedback from parents and families to assess the events and activities. Uses feedback to successfully build a program.

    Effectively produces professionally written correspondence across various communication mediums, i.e. cell phone, computer

    1. Build positive relationships with families while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality.

    Other related duties as assigned

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS WORK ENVIRONMENT:
