In this role, you won't just be assisting in a classroom; you will be the bridge to independence for students who need it most. - Instructional Support: Guide students through daily lessons in regular classroom, small groups, or one-on-one settings. Adapt materials and reinforce concepts taught by the lead teacher.
- Behavioral Management: Provide redirection, implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs), help de-escalate challenging behaviors, and log daily data or incidents.
- Student Care: Assist students with personal, physical, and hygiene needs, including transition, mobility, feeding, or restroom support.
- Collaboration: Communicate regularly with special education teachers and staff, as well as general education teachers regarding student progress
- Supervision: Monitor students safely during non-instructional times, such as recess, lunch, or transitions.
