Duties

• Assist the teacher with behavior management.
• Assist with clerical task, ie., grading papers, lunch counts, make ditto copies, organizing dittos, etc.
• Assist with concept reinforcement, reteaching, or other interventions.
• Assist with fine and gross motor programs.
• Assist with student evaluation.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks.
• Assist students to, on, and off the buses.
• Assist with playground supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher associated with the classroom

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, minimum
• Paraprofessional License (or Short-Term Substitute/Substitute License)
• Experience with children

Additional Notes

A paraprofessional will collaborate with the special education teachers to assist in managing accommodation and modification supports for students with IEPs or 504s.
