    About the Role

    Hello, Paraprofessionals! Ampersand Therapy is hiring full-time Significant Support Needs (SSN) Paraprofessionals for a P-8 school setting in Aurora, CO. In this role, you'll provide individualized support to students with significant support needs, helping them build independence, participate in classroom activities, and achieve their educational goals.

    What You'll Do

    • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with significant support needs

    • Assist students with academic activities, communication, and daily living skills as needed

    • Implement behavior support plans and instructional strategies under the direction of the classroom team

    • Support students with mobility, transitions, and classroom participation

    • Reinforce social, emotional, communication, and functional life skills

    • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and related service providers

    • Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment

    • Maintain basic documentation as needed
       

    What We're Looking For

    • High school diploma or equivalent required

    • Experience working with children or individuals with significant support needs or disabilities preferred

    • Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills

    • Ability to follow individualized education and behavior support plans

    • School-based or paraprofessional experience is a plus
