5+ years of experience in the following: Litigation background - Discover Request, Background Reviews, Computer Knowledge (MS Suite). Exclusions (Deal Breakers): Experience primarily in plaintiff work, family law, real estate, or employment law is not a fit .
Personal injury experience would be considered (if they bill more on the defensive side).
You have to know the biller side. Must be able to "craft a narrative to support the time they spent." A biller would know what that means.
Needs someone who is independent BUT can work collaboratively.
Tons of documents.
Drafting of pleadings (actually the drafting of complaints, motions, discovery)
Someone who can manage cases (someone who can think of the next step themselves). "If they do litigation, they know all the steps."
Managing attorney's calendars.
The Client does not want to see the following: plaintiff work, family law, real estate, nor employment law experience. (This would not be a match for them.)
