Employment Litigation Paralegal | Contract $43-50/hr · 1 year · (4 days a week remote), West LA

A major Los Angeles employer is adding a contract paralegal to its in-house legal department. Four days remote, one day on site. No billable hour requirement.

The work

Responding to agency inquiries on employment claims: fact development, document collection across departments, identifying witnesses, driving responses to deadline.

Litigation holds and preservation notices: reviewing demands and pleadings, identifying custodians, drafting notices from template, tracking acknowledgments, updating as matters develop.

Discovery support: collection, review, redaction, and production for discovery requests and subpoenas.

The fit

Litigation paralegal with employment experience. Employer-side or in-house preferred. Exposure to litigation holds or preservation work. Strong follow-through, since much of this role is chasing open items across a large organization. Paralegal certificate or equivalent.

Background check covers seven years of residence and employment history plus criminal records in each jurisdiction lived or worked, completed before start.
