We would like to announce the opening of Two, Level 2 Paraeducator positions at Castle Rock Elementary School. The positions will be six and one-half (6.5) hours per day five (5) days per week. Previous successful experience working with special education students with challenging behavior(s), Right Response training, and knowledge and understanding of students with high needs is preferred for the position. The position may also require feeding, dressing, toileting, and diapering. Complete job duties may be located in the position description listed below. The successful candidate must possess an Associate's Degree, or two years of college-level coursework, or pass a rigorous assessment (ParaPro).
Seniority rights will be exercised according to Article XI, Section 11.5 of the P.S.E. Negotiated Agreement.
General Responsibilities: Under the general direction of the certificated teacher, works in the classroom to correct, improve and reinforce skills of all students with/without various disabilities. This position is for the duration of a given school year approximately nine months in length with salary and benefits as established with the classified collective bargaining agreement. FLSA: NON-EXEMPT
Hourly Wage: $22.14
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the classified collective bargaining agreement.
