Paraeducator I at Pat Butler Elementary PCN #230075 Under the direction of site a site administrator, will assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students; assist in the preparation of instructional materials; provide routine clerical support. Duties will be commensurate with demonstrated ability, training, education and experience. This position is for reading intervention support.

Education: *High School Graduation or equivalent (required) Must meet one of the following requirements to qualify as a paraeducator: ~48 semester college units required (provide transcripts) ~Pass District Paraeducator Exam (NOTE: District Paraeducator exam is given every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the PRJUSD District Office) ~Certificate of Proficiency for Instructional Aides (NCLB certificate) ~College Associates degree or higher EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of the general needs and behavior of children. Knowledge working in an educational setting (desired)
