Our mission is to partner with families in the spiritual, intellectual, and moral formation of students from the earliest years.Position OverviewWe are seeking a joyful, nurturing, and Christ-loving educator to serve as an ParaEducator, working with children 6 weeks to 5 years old. The Paraeducator supports the classroom teacher in providing a nurturing, Christ-centered learning environment for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. This role assists with instruction, classroom management, supervision, and student engagement, helping ensure that every child is known, loved, and challenged to grow spiritually, academically, and socially in alignment with the mission of Kingdom Heights Preparatory School.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the lead teacher in daily classroom routines, instruction, and transitions.Provide individual and small group support to students to reinforce lessons and concepts.Supervise students during class activities, lunch, recess, and other non-classroom times.Help prepare instructional materials, classroom displays, and learning centers.Support classroom management by promoting a calm, respectful, and orderly environment.Observe and communicate student progress or behavioral concerns to the teacher.Assist with grading, data entry, and other clerical tasks as assigned.Demonstrate flexibility by willingly adapting to changing classroom, student, and school needs, including assisting with duties and responsibilities as directed by the teacher or administration.Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events as required.Model Christlike character and support the spiritual formation of students through word and example.QualificationsA personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and agreement with the school's statement of faith.A love for young children and a calling to Christian education.High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA, associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.Previous experience working with children in a school or ministry setting is preferred.Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.Commitment to the mission, values, and statement of faith of Kingdom Heights Preparatory School.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceComprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverageEmployer-paid life and disability insurance403(b) optionsGenerous paid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunitiesTuition discount for children enrolled at Kingdom Heights Preparatory SchoolPaid holidays and school breaksA nonpublic school must seek and obtain a criminal history background information check on all "applicants seeking positions with, and on all current employees and current employees under review employed by any nonpublic school, who have unsupervised access to or who provide education, training, instruction, or supervision for children in an educational setting."
