Job Summary
Under the direction of the classroom teacher and site administration, the Instructional Aide assists in the supervision, instruction, and support of students in classroom and instructional settings. The Instructional Aide works with individual students and small groups to reinforce instructional concepts, support classroom activities, and assist students who may have academic, behavioral, physical, or educational challenges. This position may provide support in specialized instructional programs and requires the ability to exercise independent judgment, initiative, and effective communication skills while assisting with the implementation of instructional activities and behavior support strategies. The Instructional Aide helps maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment that supports student success and educational goals. This is a 7 hrs p/day; Monday - Friday; School Day Only (195 days per year) Position

Completed EDJOIN Application Letter of Introduction Current Resume Three Letters of Recommendation (preferred within the last 12 months) Proof of High School Diploma or GED Proof of Education Requirement: Transcripts showing completion of 48 college units, or Associate's Degree or higher, or Proof of passing a local instructional aide proficiency exam Copy of First Aid/CPR Certification (preferred, if applicable)
