Looking for a hands-on role in Youngstown, OH? We’re seeking a Pangborn Operator who can operate and monitor Pangborn shot blast equipment to clean, finish, or prepare metal surfaces to required specifications.

You’ll be working with a team focused on quality and safety. In this contract-to-hire role, you’ll load and position parts, run the shot blast machine, monitor performance, inspect finished parts, and help keep the workspace clean and organized while following all safety procedures.

Hours

• 3rd Shift
• Shift time: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM

Pay

• $17.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Load and position parts, castings, or materials onto hooks, fixtures, or machines using hoists and lifting devices
• Operate Pangborn shot blast machines and adjust controls for proper cleaning and surface finish
• Unload parts and inspect surfaces for cleanliness, finish, and overall quality
• Ensure proper alignment and placement for consistent blast coverage
• Monitor equipment operation and identify issues such as improper blast patterns, worn media, or malfunctions
• Adjust settings such as blast pressure, conveyor speed, and exposure time
• Inspect finished parts for defects such as incomplete cleaning, damage, or inconsistencies
• Verify processed materials meet specifications using measuring instruments and inspection methods
• Review work orders to determine processing requirements and quality expectations
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as replenishing blast media, cleaning equipment, and reporting worn/damaged components
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures
