Overview:

Position Summary 


As a Panel Drafter, you will support panel design projects by updating and maintaining electrical and control panel drawings based on markups, ensuring alignment with company and customer standards. 

Key Responsibilities


  • Update panel layout, detail, and electrical drawings based on redlines and markups. 
  • Revise PLC module drawings and electrical schematics. 
  • Interpret customer diagrams, specifications, and project documentation. 
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and project teams to clarify scope and requirements. 
  • Perform basic panel power and heat calculations. 
  • Conduct self-checks and peer reviews to ensure drawing accuracy and quality. 
  • Support design team in maintaining drafting standards and documentation consistency. 

Qualifications


Required 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software. 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. 
  • Basic understanding of electrical/control panel design concepts. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 

Preferred 

  • Prior experience in panel design, controls, or industrial automation. 
  • Exposure to PLC drawings and electrical schematics. 
  • Associate degree or technical training in drafting, engineering technology, or related field.
