Stand-By Personnel is seeking experienced Panel Builders to join an industrial electrical manufacturing team in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for assembling and wiring customized electrical control panels from start to finish using schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and detailed build instructions.
The ideal candidate has previous industrial control panel wiring experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to accurately install, route, and terminate electrical components and wiring while maintaining high quality standards.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous industrial electrical panel building or wiring experience strongly preferred
Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Experience installing and wiring electrical components
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to follow detailed panel layouts, build sheets, and assembly instructions
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as production demands
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assemble customized industrial electrical control panels from start to finish
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and build sheets
Gather required electrical components, hardware, and materials for assigned builds
Mount and install components according to panel layouts and specifications
Route, terminate, label, and organize wiring according to electrical drawings
Verify wire connections, component placement, and overall panel accuracy
Use drills, wire strippers, screwdrivers, hole punches, saws, and other hand and power tools
Inspect completed panels for workmanship, wiring accuracy, and specification compliance
Identify and report wiring, component, or quality concerns
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all company safety, electrical, and production procedures
Perform additional panel assembly and electrical production duties as assigned
Electrical Components
Panel Builders may install and wire components including:
Terminal blocks
Relays
Contactors
Safety relays
PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
Electrical controls and related panel components
Preferred Qualifications
Previous industrial control panel manufacturing experience
Electrical assembly or electrical technician experience
Experience wiring PLCs, VFDs, relays, and control circuits
Strong schematic and wiring diagram interpretation skills
Experience building customized or made-to-order electrical panels
Familiarity with wire labeling, termination, routing, and panel organization
Experience performing electrical panel quality inspections
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent reaching, bending, wiring, drilling, and repetitive hand movements
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required for detailed electrical assembly
Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools while wearing required PPE
Comfortable performing detailed, hands-on assembly work throughout the workday
Work Environment
Industrial electrical manufacturing and assembly environment
Hands-on production of customized electrical control panels
Regular use of electrical components, wiring, hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
Detail-focused environment requiring accurate interpretation of schematics and build specifications
Overtime may be available or required based on production needs
